After your venue is created, you can assign it to a ticketed event and start selling reserved seats.
First, assign your venue to the ticketed event by selecting it in the dropdown and clicking Save.
That copies the layout you designed for your venue for this ticketed event show. You can see and edit the seating chart for this specific show by going to the List all Events tab and clicking Reserve Seats in the Actions column.
That link takes you to a new page where you see your copy of the venue for this show. The details of this specific ticketed event are displayed at the top. Changes that you make on this screen only apply to this show.
Notice that seats you marked as handicapped or to remove on your venue are copied also.
You have the option to edit the removal of seats and the handicap seats for this show. This process works just like creating a venue. Select the function you need and click the seats that should be removed or marked as handicapped.
You will notice an additional function called Reserve Seats. Reserving a seat leaves it on the seating chart but it will not be available for sale to customers in Ticket-Pro. To reserve a seat, click the Reserve Seats option.
With Reserve Seats selected, click on the seats that should be reserved and not sold online. Those seats that are reserved change color.
In Ticket-Pro, seats that are reserved appear as being Taken.
It is important to reserve seats as soon as you can, preferably before the event tickets go on sale. This is because there may be limits on the seats that you can reserve.
**For example, if a customer has selected seats in Ticket-Pro you can no longer reserve them. Here, a customer has selected seats to purchase.
In your ticketed event seating chart, those seats would appear as Taken. You would no longer be able to reserve them because someone online has purchased them or has started the process of purchasing them.
A customer has 5 minutes to complete the purchase of their tickets. The time remaining is displayed on the screen.
If the time expires, the Taken mark is removed from the seat and you can now reserve them, or another online customer can select and purchase them.
