If you DO NOT make any changes the system fills in text for you when you email a parent their password. The default password email looks like this.
You are able to change the text at the top. To make that change, go to More > Settings and click Portal Settings in the left menu. Then click the Password Email tab.
Now you can enter an Intro, which is the heading in bold on the email, and a Message which is the text below the Intro.
The next time you send a parent password email it will be updated based on what you entered.
